On May 6th, Kaitlyn Kern of Dunwoody, a student at Peachtree Charter Middle School was honored by the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust at the Georgia Capitol for her story, “Little Did I Know”. Kaitlyn was recognized during The 2016 Days of Remembrance, a ceremony memorializing the memory of the end of the Holocaust and honoring the soldiers who liberated the camps, the survivors, and the more than six million Jews and non-Jews who perished.
Kaitlyn is joined in this photo from the event by her parents, Georgia Supreme Court Justice David Nahmias of Dunwoody, and State Representative Tom Taylor (R-Dunwoody)
